We’re in the dark of the moon, a time when we pull back, reflect, and release, all in advance of the Gemini New Moon on June 18. What have we learned over the past four weeks? We may feel the gravitas of Saturn, too, pushing us to take responsibility.
The Moon travels between Aries and Taurus, between a view towards the future and a need to pull within. With the Moon in Taurus, we’re beginning to come to the end of the lunar month, one built on on focus for material stability and security, value and worth.
It’s a structural point for the year as Pluto returns Capricorn and Saturn turns retrograde in Pisces. We’re building as well as breaking down the past and opening our hearts. We also wrap up a lunar month, which brings us to a Gemini New Moon on June 18.
We start the week with a couple of big shifts in the astrology as of yesterday, Mercury is now in Gemini and, more importantly, Pluto is back in Capricorn. Gemini Season pulls us forward, quickly so, but we have to revisit a story that began in 2008.
A Pisces Moon takes us into the weekend, one that both wants to go with the flow but also hammer out the details. We’ve also got two big planetary shifts over the next two days, a reminder to feel into Pisces’s liminal space and prepare for something new.
Venus, newly in Leo, meets up with the Lunar Nodes, squaring off an axis of energy that has been known to activate the energy of fate and destiny. As a result, relationships may be at a crossroads. People may be coming in and out of our lives. It’s a pivot point.
The Moon arrives in Aquarius, a sign that turns our eyes to the world and gets us to consider our place in humanity. It’s a day for friends and community, social themes and social causes, justice and equity. Make time for intelligent conversation and perspective.
Another Moon in Capricorn day, one that points us towards Saturn in Pisces. As much as Saturn and Capricorn are about hard work and ambition, Pisces’s influence means that whatever we’re working towards, whatever we’re building, has to feed our soul as well as our soul’s ambitions.
Venus arrives in Leo for a four month stay, an extended look at our relationship with creativity, passion, and romance. Mercury finally arrives home to Gemini, a buzzy renewal for the season. And Pluto returns to Capricorn to begin to wrap up old business.
We start the week off with Venus in Leo, a new arrival that invites us to make time for romance as well as the romance of life. If Venus is what we love and what we value, then it’s time to invest in what makes us happy and gives us life.
