Happy Pisces Full Moon! This is the time of year when the spotlight is on compassion, forgiveness, surrender, and healing. Pisces is also the last sign of the zodiac, the one that represents the totality of life as well as the journey back to Source. With that in mind, the full moon is exact on August 26, 2018 at 7:56 am EDT, 3 degrees Pisces/Virgo. That’s 4:56 am Los Angeles, 12:56 pm London, and 9:56 pm in Sydney.

To have a full moon in Pisces, the Sun has to be in Virgo. And the full moon is simply an opposition between the Moon and the Sun, the Moon positioned to fully reflect the light of the Sun. If Virgo is the sign of physical healing, then Pisces is the sign of spiritual healing, a polarity between the world we can see and the world we cannot.

The Pisces Full Moon is a yearly reminder of this inherent duality between earth and sky, matter and spirit, visible and invisible. Virgo, for all of its strengths and talents, can get too caught up in the details or too focused on what is right in front of it. So we need that balance, we need that push to break out of our schedule, patterns, and particularities.

Pisces, like the water sign that it is, wants us to flow like the great cosmic ocean. It wants us to dance, feel, intuit. Pisces is also spirituality and mysticism — everything that we can’t make sense of analytically. As a result, you may be feeling a pull to get quiet, retreat, and reflect on your life and what it’s connected to in the days around the full moon.

Since Pisces is a deeply emotional, empathic sign, you may be also feeling a lot. Pisces tends to bring things up from your psychic depths, but doing so in way that helps you let go and heal. What comes up may feel like a flood or even a tsunami.

Be open even if it’s overwhelming. Don’t numb out. Don’t sleep it away. Be present. There’s a lot of beautiful energy in this full moon as it picks up on a trine between Jupiter and Neptune. Maybe miracles do happen, maybe there’s room for forgiveness and redemption when there previously was not. Maybe there is something on the Other Side that is helping us and with us when we feel alone. Pisces is the universality of life.

Lest we get too untethered, we have a supportive trine between earthy Sun in Virgo and Saturn in Capricorn. There is the possibility for something real and concrete to manifest with this full moon. So hope, pray, and wish. Write down what you need and feel yourself connected to everyone and everything. There’s magic in the air.
