Happy Libra Full Moon! This is the second time this year we’ve had a Libra Full Moon, the first on March 20. Although not common to have two new or full moons in the same sign, they form a pair as well as two parts to the same story. Since Libra spotlights on not just relationships, but how we interact, connect, and treat each other, this full moon may be a coda to events that began in March. That said, the full moon is exact on April 19, 2019 at 7:12 am EDT, 29 degrees Libra/Aries. That’s 4:12 am Los Angeles, 12:12 pm London, 9:12 pm in Sydney.

When we had our first Libra Full Moon this year, it fell at the very beginning of Libra, on the same day as the equinox. This made for a dynamic full moon, one steeped in decision and action as much as it was new beginnings. Something shifted then, perhaps even powerfully so. But Mercury was still retrograde and it’s possible that we didn’t have all the story and that we couldn’t fully take action.

Here we are, a month later, and it’s another Libra Full Moon, this one at the very end of the sign. We’re coming to the end of a story or we’re having to take the actions and the decisions that we couldn’t fully take back in March. Mercury is direct, newly in Aries, and we’re energized about moving forward. Yet something needs our attention as well as resolution.

Since Libra speaks to relationships, it could very well be that this full moon touches on a relationship in our life that needs your attention. On a broader level, this could speak to how we negotiate with others, how we compromise, how we give and take.

When we follow the ruler of the full moon, we find Venus in Pisces, a sign that Venus loves to be in. Venus in Pisces speaks to how love can be transcendent. It can help us to forgive and find compassion for people. It’s the beauty of love. It’s the redemptive powers of love.

That said, the full moon makes a square to Saturn, Pluto, and the South Node in Capricorn. If anything this is a full moon that wants boundaries. If something isn’t working, especially with a relationship, how do you find the courage to say no? Or, in honor of Saturn’s need for commitment, how do you say yes to a relationship?

With Pluto involved, how do you face the darker shades of power and control in how you interact and partner with others? Let’s not forget that a square to the South Node is also a square to the Cancer North Node. How do you get your needs met in a relationship?

The Nodes also mean that this full moon may bring in some eclipse-like energy. And as you may know, eclipses can quickly change the story. They can close as well as open doors or bring events that feel fated.

So, we’ve got something to figure out in the days around the full moon. It may confront or we may see a relationship in a very different light. If something does come up, we call on Venus in Pisces to help us to forgive and let go of the past. Make sure you’re getting your needs met, that a relationship or connection fills your heart and soul.

Keep in mind that this full moon comes on the cusp of the Sun’s arrival in Taurus and it’s first conjunction with Uranus, newly in Taurus. It may activate Uranus’s tendency to shake things up and turn things upside down. We’re navigating some tricky energy this month. You got this.
