After four long months in Scorpio, Venus finally arrives in Sagittarius, bringing its natural charms to the sign of travel, education, and adventure. With a bohemian spirit and a need for freedom, this is a Venus that loves to explore the world.
Venus will also meet up with Jupiter in Sagittarius over the coming two weeks, two planets that are better known as the benefics in astrology. There’s a exuberance to Sagittarius, a natural sense of faith, humor, and optimism that pulls it through the darkest moments. Sagittarius also speaks to luck and maybe, just maybe, luck is on our side.
Don’t forget, we just had a solar eclipse in Capricorn, a sign that couldn’t be more different than Sagittarius. If Capricorn is the sign that teaches us to work hard, pay our bills, and honor our responsibilities, then Sagittarius is the sign that would rather run away to distant shores. That’s not to say that we’re not working hard over the coming six months — the window in which this eclipse cycle will take us through — but for as harsh as Capricorn can be, especially with Saturn in Pluto there as well, we can’t lose sight of our faith in miracles.
Speaking of the eclipse, note that we’re still in its potent vortex of energies. Eclipses open up a gateway and it’s important to take consciousness of what we’re be asked to change in our lives right now. This eclipse in particular wants us to make lasting, positive changes that help us to not only be better versions of ourselves, but to step up to more responsibility and maturity. So, life’s a little crazy and unpredictable right now. (Uranus just turned direct, too.) People are coming in and our of our lives. We’re making serious plans and decisions. Eclipses are like the pause between scenes in a play where the set gets rearranged. There’s a sense of drama and expectancy in the air. On January 21 will have a lunar eclipse, which will close out this latest eclipse season. In the meantime, enjoy the Venus in Sagittarius’s bohemian spirit.
