The Moon straddles Taurus and Gemini today, two very different signs. One says go slow. The other says go fast. With Taurus plus Venus conjunct Neptune, we’re slowing down to enjoy the pleasures of life, especially anything that is beautiful and romantic.

By the end of today and going into tomorrow, the pace picks up as the Gemini Moon activates not only the Aries Sun, but Mars in Gemini. This is dynamic energy that needs to take action, move, and say what it needs to say.

That said, there are a couple of important things to note about the week ahead. (I wrote about this in my latest newsletter. Make sure you’re signing up for my mailing list to get the latest information.) We’re fresh off an Aries New Moon. It’s a time to plant new seeds and vision what we want to create this month, one that’s filled with the energy of new beginnings and new seasons.

Additionally, the Sun comes up to its opening square to the January 5 solar eclipse degree, giving this week not only an eclipse season vibe to it, but a thread back to January and the new chapter that the solar eclipse opened.

The Sun also squares off with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, which gives this week an edge as well. The Sun/Saturn square is a check in on your homework. It’s a time when we’re held accountable and if we haven’t been doing our homework or doing what we’re supposed to be doing, Saturn lets us know. (Want to know what you’re homework was? Read my Saturn in Capricorn: Sign by Sign guide.)

This is a week when we may hear more noes than yeses, a week where we have to set boundaries and work harder, a week when we may be doubting ourselves. But it also may be a week of milestones, one where we’ve reached our goals because we’ve been diligently working over the last year. If you want to learn more about the positive side of Saturn, read In Defense of Saturn.

Then again, there’s a strong current of Pluto in the astrology this week. Events or experiences may cast shadow. We may be looking at the underside of something, something previously buried or hidden. We’re also finding our power.

PS, I taught a webinar on Saturday on Uranus in Taurus and what it will mean for the next seven years. If you missed out on registering, you can still sign up to receive the YouTube video replay. Details here.
