Happy Virgo Full Moon! This is the time in the zodiac calendar when the spotlight is on health, wellness, diet, and the practical details of life. In short, Virgo is the sign that encourages us to roll up our sleeves and get to work. The full moon will be exact on March 12, 2017 at 10:54 am EST, 22 degrees Virgo/Pisces. That’s 7:54 am Los Angeles, 3:54 pm London, and 1:54 am in Sydney on March 13.

We all have those moments, the ones where we survey our surroundings or even our lives and realize we that things are a mess. Maybe our diet is all over the place. Maybe our schedule — or lack thereof — needs help. Maybe the mess isn’t ours; it’s in our neighborhood, our community. When we connect to Virgo, we find the discipline and motivation needed to put things right. We watch what we eat and tend to our bodies. We organize and put ourselves into service.

There’s a sobriety to Virgo, a need to get clean and pure. As the polarity of Pisces, it focuses our dreams into reality, streamlining anything that needlessly complicates. Virgo also tidies and straightens. There’s an attention to detail that borders on other worldy. If you’ve met someone whose life is impeccably arranged and color coded, you’ve encountered the energy of Virgo.

When we look to the chart of the full moon, we see some interesting things. First, the full moon falls opposite Chiron in Pisces. If Chiron speaks to our emotional, psychic, and spiritual knots, then the full moon in Virgo is a call for healing. It’s a call to find balance between our intuition and what we objectively know to be true. If there are any blocks to our connection to the divine or universal, then the full moon will get right to the point. Notice what pain comes up for you around the full moon. If it’s physical, is it representative of something deeper? Something existential?

In my March horoscopes, I mentioned that crossroads is one of the major themes this month. With the full moon squaring Saturn — Mercury makes an exact square to Saturn, too — we have a major check in with the planet of karma. Where are our beliefs impeding our spiritual growth and development? On the flip side, have we been on the fence? Pisces is notoriously noncommittal. Saturn may force the issue, demand clarity, challenge what we believe in. Saturn is both a wakeup call and a need for balance. Plus, Jupiter is still opposing Uranus. Saturn’s demands may come as a jolt or a breakthrough.

If the Pisces New Moon on February 26 spoke to higher callings, then the Virgo Full Moon helps you put it into practical action. We’re getting a major assist from Pluto during this full moon, too. If we want healing, we can’t shy away from from going big. If we need to get organized, we’re ready for a purge. Virgo wants nothing short of purity.
