The Capricorn Sun meets up with Mars, an energy that wants to movement, action, and new beginnings. This is in advance of tomorrow’s opposition between Mars and Jupiter in Cancer, two planets pushing and pulling at the structures of our lives.
In astrology, Capricorn and Cancer are cardinal signs, signs that align with the four seasons and the four directions. They act as symbolic pillars for the zodiac, holding up the sky and thus our lives. We may not be a Cancer or a Capricorn, but we are intimately familiar with their energies — home and family (Cancer), responsibility, maturity, and career (Capricorn). If we take any one of these pillars away, our lives lack stability.
Tomorrow’s opposition between Mars and Jupiter activates these pillars. We may be navigating events in our home lives. Or we may be more philosophical and reflective on the role of home, family, and career in our lives. There may be a larger call for responsibility. Or something that demands that we take action.
On a practical level, Mars is a planet that needs an outlet for its energies. And we can use Mars this weekend to put towards projects and initiatives, especially in the home.
