The Moon crosses between Virgo and Libra today, between a sign that plays off of the practical energies of Capricorn Season and the need to build relationship and connection. It’s also a ripple back to the Virgo solar eclipse and its call for duty and responsibility.
Eclipses come and go, but they create a marker and open a sixth month chapter that we work our way through. It may be a planet or a new or full moon that activates this marker and thus activates an energy of change.
For example, when we entered the start of this lunar month with a December 19 new moon at 28 degrees, we entered a month that threaded back to the September 21 solar eclipse at 29 Virgo. Which is to say that sometimes we see the energy of the eclipse and its new beginnings three months after the solar eclipse.
That said, we’re five weeks away from a solar eclipse at 28 Aquarius, which will initiate us into a new six-month chapter that will take us into August 2026. With a square to Uranus, this six-month chapter may bring awakenings, reinventions, and shake ups of the status quo.
