Welcome to August! We not only kick things off with a fiery, confident Leo New Moon, but Mercury is now direct. It was a bit of a wobbly end to July, wasn’t it? Now that we’re firmly entrenched in Leo Season, we can work on getting our groove back.
Welcome to Leo Season! This is the time in the zodiac calendar when we shine like the Sun. It’s the season to focus on our talents, our creativity, and our passions. After a rocky eclipse season, we could use Leo’s shot of confidence and courage.
Happy Leo New Moon! This is the time in the lunar calendar when we turn our attention to joy, passion, and the power of being ourselves. Leo, ruled by the Sun, is a sign that teaches us all to shine.
The Moon rounds out its time in Cancer and we’re in the dark of the moon. It’s a time to reflect and get quiet. Since we’re wrapping up a lunar month with two eclipses, take a moment to reflect on the doors that have closed … and opened in July.
The Sun comes up to a square to Uranus in Taurus today, an aspect that’s been known to be restless, electric, and even impulsive. We can’t hold back anymore. We can’t make ourselves small any longer. We need to open up to a higher version of ourselves.
We’re rounding out the day with a Taurus Moon and, just like yesterday, we’re more into a leisurely, relaxed pace than needing to rush. That said, the Moon’s in Gemini this weekend, a Moon that wants to go places and do things. Make plans!
Today’s Taurus Moon picks up on Venus in Cancer and it’s all about creature comforts and the familiarity of home. It’s possible that we’re not moving very fast today, instead preferring to graze, taste. After all, Taurus and Cancer are also two signs that love food!
The Moon straddles Aries and Taurus today, a sign that wants to move fast and act impulsively versus a sign that wants to slow down and feel things out. So we may be running at two speeds today. Then again Mercury is retrograde. Get a second opinion.
