Astro Daily: November 15, 2018

After six months in Aquarius, Mars finally arrives in Pisces. It’s been a long haul for the planet of action, fighting many intellectual and ideological battles along the way. Now it learns to let go, surrendering to the quiet and stillness of the last sign of the zodiac.

I think the thing we really had to realize while Mars was in Aquarius is that we either succeed by working together or fall apart fighting each other. (The 5 of Wands in the tarot comes to mind, especially with the South Node of the Moon in Aquarius until recently.) Unity is strength but hard to achieve when everyone has competing visions and beliefs. Nevertheless the squabbles have been exhausting.

The beauty of Mars in Pisces, when done right, is the power of compassion. Pisces is a deeply empathetic sign, one that is as about as far from the ego as you can get. Can we use Mars to find understanding with each other? To let go of the battles that cause so much suffering? Can we find forgiveness and unconditional love? (Like any planet and sign, Mars in Pisces has a shadow. Be mindful of the energy of sacrifice and martyrdom over the coming six weeks.) Want to know what Mars in Pisces will mean for you? Find out in my sign by sign guide.

Just keep in mind that many planets are either changing sign or direction in November. Things are changing and perhaps quite quickly. Tomorrow, Venus turns direct and Mercury turns retrograde. The great celestial clock moves again.

  1. Hi Katie
just wondering if the southern hemisphere reads the same as the northern?
Are there any adjustments we need to make?
    Many thanks
    Sarah

Hi Sarah, good question. No, you read exactly as the northern. I know it seems a little illogical, but it’s a symbolic system that, while in the spirit of the seasons of the northern hemisphere, still connects us to a universal template.
