We’re straddling two worlds as we start the week. Between the dark of the Moon and the final couple of days of the lunar month and Uranus’s imminent arrival in Taurus, we may feel like things are both ending and getting ready to begin.

First, we’re coming up to a Pisces New Moon on March 6, one that will join up with energies of Neptune. Life’s a little fuzzy right now, a little dreamy. With Neptune strong in the astrology of this week it’s as if the border between this world and the next, waking and dreaming, is starting to dissolve. We’re more sensitive than usual, more contemplative, and certainly more emotional.

Pay attention to what you’re feeling. Neptune touches on subtext and hidden meaning, especially with Mercury preparing to turn retrograde on March 5. We may be dealing with themes of deception and slight of hand, so make sure you’re questioning what is real. Further, make sure you’re keeping your feet on the ground and taking care of your emotional and spiritual needs this week in equal measure.

Lastly, Uranus is in its final minutes of Aries, a sign that it won’t return to for another 80 years. While Uranus was in Aries, from roughly 2010-2011 until March 6, we had to radically transform ourselves in ways that I think we’re only starting to realize. Uranus in Aries was the awakening of self and individuality. It was new initiatives and new beginnings. Once Uranus arrives in Taurus, however, we’re awakening our consciousness around what it means to live in the physical world — money, value, ownership, the body, food, fertility, and material stability.
