Sun opposes Saturn today. We’ve got a check-in with the planet of responsibility and accountability. Make sure you’re working hard. It’s a great day to check in with our goals and ambitions. But Saturn is making sure we’re staying focused on what matters.

Think back to the New Year. The Sun and Saturn made what’s called a conjunction on January 2. It’s as if to say we’re checking in with our New Year’s resolutions. What initiatives or plans did we set in place at that time? Did they fall by the wayside or are we exactly where we want to be?

While we can feel a little disheartened when we check-in with Saturn in Capricorn because, of course, there’s always room for improvement and we may be very aware of where we missed the mark. Use today to make a course correction, to recommit to your goals and ambitions you set forth for 2019 and beyond. (Read more about where Saturn in Capricorn is working you in my sign-by-sign guide.)

For instance, I have sort of slid on going to Pilates classes since the New Year for various reasons, but when my muscles were burning in today’s 8 am class and I was regretting my decisions, I remembered that I was working hard this week to recommit to health and fitness. See, it’s never too late … until it is too late. Saturn is like a personal trainer. Our muscles are going to burn and the climb is going to be exhausting, but Saturn knows what we’re trying to achieve and is going to work us until we get there. (Read more in In Defense of Saturn.)

Speaking of working hard, I’m working hard, too. I recorded a weekly Facebook Live yesterday. In it I talked eclipse season as well as this week’s astrology. You can watch the replay on my Empowering Astrology YouTube channel.

I’m also teaching a webinar on Saturday, July 13, on Pluto in advance of the July 14 Sun/Pluto opposition. Learn what Pluto is and how to work with Pluto’s energy to put “shadows into light” in my 90-minute online class. Even if you can’t make the live class, you can still register online to receive the video replay. Details and registration here.

Heads up — there’s some bumpy astrology this week. In fact, the Libra Moon is making a square to the July 16 lunar eclipse degree, so we may be getting a preview of next week’s lunar eclipse at 24 Capricorn. Make sure you’re taking care of yourself as well as setting healthy boundaries.
