We start the week on the cusp of a Capricorn lunar eclipse, one that’s shining a spotlight on uncomfortable emotions. With its strong Pluto energies, we have to have the courage to let go of the structures — real or emotional — that are holding us back.
True, Capricorn is a sign that teaches us about setting goals and the hard work needed to reach them. It’s a sign that instinctively understands time and power. But it’s also a sign that can bring up doubts, fears, and anxieties. Do we have enough? Will we reach our goals?
Right now there’s likely something that we’re holding onto for dear life. Maybe it’s an old way of thinking, an old emotional pattern, memories of the past, a career, a relationship, a home. Tomorrow’s lunar eclipse as well as its conjunction to Pluto is showing us that we can’t keep holding onto them. They have to go.
Pluto also has a habit of bringing of anything that’s been suppressed or repressed. You may be feeling a flood of emotions. If you’ve repressed your anger, maybe you’re feeling a deep simmering rage. If haven’t had the bravery to take a leap, maybe you’re surprising yourself in the next couple of days. If we’ve been afraid to be our real self, we may be breaking out of our shell.
I’m going to be talking about tomorrow’s eclipse on Facebook Live today, July 15, at 6 pm EDT. (That’s 3 pm Los Angeles, 11 pm London, 8 am Sydney on 7/16.)
