Here we go, we’re rounding out eclipse season with a little bit of a bang. The Sun squares off with Uranus today, hinting that the next few days may help us step into a very new chapter in our lives or even make a break with the past. Be open to flashes of insight.
As I’ve been mentioning in my past few updates, one of Uranus’s roles in astrology is to upend the status quo. It liberates us from the past as well as anything that’s holding us back from evolution and new awareness. It’s playing a big role in January 21 lunar eclipse with a square to the nodes. Anything is possible right now. Doors are opening and closing. Life is moving fast. What we do know it’s about leaving behind the old.
Over the next few days, ask yourself, what’s holding you back? What has outlived its usefulness? Where do you need a breakthrough? What are you not seeing? Uranus is like the myth of Prometheus. Also can’t forget to mention that Sunday, January 20 is the start of Aquarius Season, a time when we turn towards community and reach out to the friendships and social connections in our lives. Aquarius helps us to see both what divides us as well as what unites us. It’s a sign that speaks to the collective of humanity. It’s no longer about us as individuals, but where we belong in the grand scheme of things.

This tickles me as today marks the end of my 4,485 day relationship with my employer, and my return to college started this week. My heart is full from the warm exchanges with the best people at the company, and I let go of any negative feelings I had from the journey, because it taught me so much.
