Today our gal Venus says goodbye to Gemini, a sign that she’s known to have a bit of fun in, and checks into Cancer for a four week stay. Cancer is the sign of home, family, roots, emotions, and the mother. It’s the first water sign and in it we discover our primal emotions, the ones tied to memories, comfort foods, and need to feel loved and secure. If Venus is value and attraction, then this is what we’ll be seeking out into July 12.

Cancer is a sign that has had a fair amount of waves made in it through out the past few years. As a result, some of the things most personal to us have been shaken up. Some of us have had to make radical moves, deal with deeply buried emotions, and really discover what connection means. For those who want to know more on why the past few years have been a roller coaster, check out my “The Last Uranus-Pluto Square” article linked below.

We’re also coming up to a full moon on Monday, shining a light on faith, meaning, and zealotry at a time when tensions are already high. (Mars has been retrograde in Scorpio, a very strong placement for Mars and one that asks all of us to look into the dark and take an unflinching look at our shadow and the shadow we project onto others.)

Additionally, I went into depth yesterday on what’s happening with the astrology of late, big picture style. It’s worth a look in case you missed it, especially in light of today’s exact Saturn/Neptune square.
