The sky makes big moves this week, from Jupiter’s arrival in Cancer to a bold Sagittarius Full Moon that acts as a showcase for Jupiter and its square to Saturn. What do we believe in? What do we stand for? This week may demand answers.
Every year Jupiter changes signs, an opportunity for us to learn and discover the sign that Jupiter arrives in. Often labeled the planet of “growth”, Jupiter reveals what we need to nourish ourselves with in order to grow.
Without Jupiter we wouldn’t look beyond ourselves, we wouldn’t seek answers, we wouldn’t have a sense of purpose and meaning in our lives. And if we feel that we are missing answers or meaning or a sense of vision in our lives, then Jupiter is the planet we need to turn to.
In Cancer, Jupiter invites us to find a sense of home and a deeper connection to family or those who are like family. We have an opportunity to nourish ourselves with experiences that help us to feel nurtured and cared for. Our past can become a support, a foundation that allows us to continue to grow.
Traditionally speaking, Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, which is a way of saying that Jupiter does its best work in Cancer, the sign of home and family. I love studying the planetary exaltations in astrology because they give me a richer understanding of the planet.
If Jupiter does its best work in Cancer, then it’s a reminder that if our lives are a great tree, then we need to make sure we’re taking care of the roots. (Read Jupiter in Cancer: Sign by Sign.)
With Jupiter in Cancer, it will make its final square to Saturn in Aries. This is a heavy duty square that has been shaping our world since last year. Things may look a little different in our lives now versus the start of 2024. (The two previous squares were August 19, 2024 at 17 Gemini-Pisces and December 24, 2024 at 14 Gemini-Pisces. The final square on June 15 will be at 1 Cancer-Aries.)
Let’s use the friction of the square between Jupiter and Saturn to reprioritize and refocus, to forge a new path, and make the necessary commitments to set us up for our goals.
The Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11 can then be a spotlight for what needs reprioritizing and refocusing.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for June 10, 2025.
