Saturn squares Uranus today, a seismic force that not only marks the astrology of 2021, but one that bends, breaks, and reforges certain areas of our lives. We feel pulled in different directions. Most importantly, we have to get out of our own way.
The square between Saturn and Uranus takes place in the fixed signs of Aquarius and Taurus. Fixed energy is, as you can imagine, fixed. The fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius are duty bound to hold down the fort, so to speak. But what happens when you toss Uranus, the planet of radical reinventions, into the mix? Things that seemed like they would never change in fact do change.
Maybe you’re witnessing this firsthand. Maybe you have a Taurus or an Aquarius in your life who is making big moves. Maybe a Scorpio is doing a 180. If you are a Saturn ruled Capricorn, life’s a bit interesting, too.
My best advice is to not resist. The psychic stress is too great. Let this energy move and let it move you. Let it show you something better. Let it help open you up and get you out of a rut.
And since you all like to connect the dots in time with me, it’s worthwhile knowing that this square connects to the Saturn-Uranus opposition of 2008-2010 in the signs of Virgo and Pisces. Previously, there was another square in 1999-2000 in Taurus-Aquarius. But the cycle began way back in 1988 with the conjunction
Alongside all of this is some pretty strong Neptune energy, a planet who’s job is to get us to surrender. Today’s square between the Gemini Sun and Neptune in Pisces is a reminder to let things flow.
