Saturn in Aquarius: Sign by Sign

Aries or Aries Rising — Friends, community, networks, social causes. Who are your friends? Your allies? Over the next couple of years, until 2023, Saturn wants you to focus on building your social circle and a stronger sense of community. You may see old friendships leave your life as Saturn clears a path for the people who are going to be true friends. If you are feeling disconnected, how will you take the necessary steps to meet new friends or join a group of like minded people? You may also be involved more in social causes, politics, and humanitarian issues over the next few years.

Taurus or Taurus Rising — Career, direction, public persona, responsibility. Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? That’s a question you’re going to be answering until 2023, regardless of what age you are. Saturn’s visit to your career sign will likely bring professional milestones, a major job change, or a strong need to define your place in the world. This is your time to take on more responsibility and make your next step up in the world. And it’s very possible that you’ll be working hard in the next couple of years.

Gemini or Gemini Rising — Faith, truth, meaning, education, travel. After everything you’ve been through since 2018, what do you believe in? The next couple of years, until 2023, is about the search for truth in meaning. Saturn wants you to define your faith, your mission, or your philosophy. You may also be setting off on a major journey, traveling to other countries, or making your education — especially higher education — a priority.

Cancer or Cancer Rising — The deep self, emotional health, intimacy, finance. Do you know yourself on the deepest levels? The next few years you’re prioritizing your emotional health, digging into your psyche through personal work or work with a therapist or counselor. It’s a time to face your fears, reveal old patterns, heal the past, and tend to past traumas. It’s also time to work on themes around intimacy, trust, and control. Additionally, money and finance are a focus and it’s important that you work to organize and pay off debts and build a stronger financial foundation until 2023.

Leo or Leo Rising — Relationships, other people, socialization, connection. What does relationship mean to you? Humans are social creatures and, if you’ve been feeling a little disconnected or alone, it’s time to build connection until 2023. This may mean the start of serious relationship or the need to commit to an existing relationship, such as marriage or moving in with a partner. If you are already in a relationship and it needs work, it’s time to make that a serious focus or make the decision to end a relationship.

Virgo or Virgo Rising — Health, diet, wellness, daily living, work. How’s your health? Do you take good care of your body? Over the next couple of years, it’s time to prioritize health and wellness. This may mean making positive and lasting changes to your diet and fitness or even getting clean and sober. Saturn wants ritual, practice, and discipline. It’s also a time to gain greater command over your daily life through organization and projects. You may be working hard until 2023, too.

Libra or Libra Rising — Identity, persona, creativity, talent, children. Do you take yourself seriously? Do you make time for your talents and creativity? Over the next few years, until 2023, you’re prioritizing yourself. You’re also getting clearer about who you are and what makes you unique. You may also be starting a creative project or even starting a family. Regardless, it’s a time for you to have a stronger sense of who you are and, if you’ve historically, hid yourself, it’s time to step into the spotlight.

Scorpio or Scorpio Rising — Home, family, roots, foundation, living situation. What’s home? Do you need to settle down? Plant roots or tend to existing roots? The next couple of years, until 2023, you’re focusing on home and family. During this time you may make a major move, one that is symbolic of a new chapter or milestone in your life, including the purchase of a new home. Or, you need to turn your attention to your existing home in order for it to be the home that you need. Family may need your attention, from needing to take care of a parent to starting your own family.

Sagittarius or Sagittarius Rising — Voice, communication, learning, choices. How do people hear you? Are you afraid to speak up? Or do you use your words without thought or care? Over the next couple of years, until 2023, you’re working on your voice. You need to take your words seriously. You’re building stronger communication skills. This time may also coincide with classes and study or a new writing project such as a manuscript or book. You may be called to speak publicly and share your wisdom. This may be a time of serious choices, too.

Capricorn or Capricorn Rising — Money, income, value, material stability. What do you need to feel safe and secure? Do appreciate the value of things as well as the value of yourself? It’s time to get back to basics. Over the next few years, until 2023, you’re building a different relationship with money. This includes spending money in a more responsible way, putting money in the bank, and working to grow your income. You may be making major purchases at this time or prioritizing the staples of living such as food, water, and shelter, anything that creates more material stability in your life. Sometimes Saturn makes you feel like you have less in order for you to appreciate what you have and know the true value of something.

Aquarius or Aquarius Rising — The self, growing up, growing older, new beginnings. After two years of retreat behind the scenes to reflect, rest, and let go of the past, Saturn’s arrival in your sign marks a new chapter. (In fact, it’s a new 29 year chapter. Let that sink in.) As a result, the next couple of years, until 2023, may be marked by personal milestones. In short, Saturn is asking you to grow up, to step into a position of authority in your life, to be the person people look to for answers. Note that Saturn may speak to health concerns or weakened vitality. It’s important to take care of your body at this time through fitness and diet. It’s not uncommon for there to be weight loss when Saturn is in your sign.

Pisces or Pisces Rising — Spirituality, retreat, the unconscious, inner search. What is your truth? What is your relationship with spirituality? The next couple of years, until 2023, is meant to be a time of reflection and meditation as you search yourself for answers and build a stronger connection with your spirituality. This also marks the end of a long journey that began decades before. It’s as if you’ve traveled far and gathered many suitcases of things accumulated along the way. But, come 2023, you’re not going to be able to take everything with you. So, as a result, it’s time to spiritually pare down. Let go of addictions, attachments, heavy memories and emotions. This may also be a time when you feel like you’re more hidden from the world.
