Scorpio Moon takes us into the weekend, one that picks up on intense feels and themes around stability and security. Venus and Mercury also change signs. It’s another shift in cosmic gears.
As I mentioned yesterday, Mars arrived in Taurus on January 6. Now Venus is in Capricorn and Mercury in Aquarius. When multiple planets change signs around the same time, it’s a change in direction. Mars is motivation and action. Venus is value, material matters, and relationships. Mercury is how we think, talk, listen, learn, and move.
Venus in Capricorn loves things that have a lot of value and will last, anything from luxury and status items to things that don’t seem very glamorous, but are built to last. For us, we now have to look at what we’re spending our money on. Is it worth it? And since Venus is the planet of relationships, our connections and partnerships now have to be of good value and take us into the long haul.
Mercury, on the other hand, needs freedom to move, think, and explore in Aquarius. It expresses itself with intelligence and can be overly driven by rationality. This is a Mercury that is all facts and figures, but also one that thinks about the bigger picture and the ideas that shape society as well as the world.
This weekend the Moon’s in Sagittarius and we come to the end of the lunar month, one that began with a solar eclipse on December 14. (Yeah, that was a month ago. Feels like five years, right?) It’s time to reflect, pull inward, and connect to our intuition. We’re also preparing for a lunar month that begins on January 13 with a Capricorn New Moon conjunct Pluto.
