We open the week with a balsamic moon, one that brings us into the final days of the lunar month. It’s time to rest instead of push forward. In fact, rest while you can. The upcoming astrology may be a bit challenging.
Yes, there’s quite a few intense astrological events packed into this week. First is a Capricorn New Moon on January 13, the same that Mars squares Saturn, two planets that have a reputation for being difficult when in aspect.
On the same day, the Sun joins up with Pluto, which means that the coming lunar month will be lived not only through the lens of responsible, achievement oriented Capricorn, but through Pluto as well. The coming days and weeks, until February 11, will bring an unavoidable push to face ourselves, to dig into what’s really at the root of things, to transform and transmute or tear down what’s no longer working.
Then on January 14, Uranus turns direct at 6 degrees Taurus. Uranus is the great awakener, opening our eyes to new ideas, new perspectives, but also shaking us out of the old. Uranus Direct also brings forward a story that’s been playing out since May 2018 and March 2019. It’s just the next chapter in the story.
Of course, even in the most difficult astrology is an opportunity to shift, let go, and reveal what’s really holding us back.
That said, Mercury joins up with Jupiter today. It’s time for big ideas. Jupiter helps us to see the bigger picture. It’s wisdom and knowledge. It’s a philosophical and intellectual approach.
