The Sun joins up with Saturn, a big sit down with the planet of maturity and responsibility. Can we handle the responsibility of life? Are we ready to commit? It’s also a check-in with our Saturn in Aquarius story.
When Saturn first entered Aquarius, way back on March 21, 2020 for a three month preview, we got our first notification that something in our lives was going to shift and demand more attention. Although Saturn left Aquarius on July 1, 2020, it returned back to the sign of friendships and community, society and humanity on December 17, 2020 for a two year stay. I mention this because these dates were the start and punctuation of a major story of our lives that spans from 2020 to early 2023. We all have Aquarius somewhere in our chart and Saturn has been in that part of our chart, demanding more work, maturity, and responsibility, since then.
As the Sun joins up with Saturn today at 15 Aquarius, we can’t lose sight of the bigger picture and the framework for growth and success that Saturn’s been hard working us towards since then. How are you learning the lesson? (Need a review? Read Saturn in Aquarius: Sign by Sign.)
Growth and success are not the words that we always traditionally associate with Saturn. In fact, Saturn is often associated with loss and hardship, for good reason. But I believe that Saturn is also merely trying to get us to the finish line and even into the winner’s circle. We just need to follow its strategy. (Read In Defense of Saturn.)
Our framework for growth and success comes at the expense of a square to Uranus in Taurus. Whatever we are reaching for right now, whatever goals and milestones we are actively trying to achieve, need to be built upon something very different and perhaps even radically so.
