Mercury in Capricorn square Chiron in Aries, a series of three aspects during Mercury’s long journey through Capricorn that takes us into the end of January. Mercury and Chiron are the courage to say the hard thing, to set healthy boundaries in relationships.
Chiron doesn’t work on an overt level (see some of the comments I made about Neptune yesterday). Instead, it reveals a deeper emotional subtext as well as something that needs to be healed. Whatever is coming up in a relationship this week or around a matter around responsibility and direction has roots that go beyond the present moment.
It’s sometimes hard to say no to people, to set healthy limits and expectations. Yet Chiron invites us to find our bravery to handle something unhealed with another person. A conversation may be emotionally charged but necessary. (Read more about Chiron in On Chiron, Suffering & Knots.)
