Mars arrives in Aries, a rush of energy and power that acts as a focal point for Aries Season. What has been stalled can now be realized. With Saturn and Neptune also in Aries, Mars gives life to new cycles and new priorities that will take us into 2028 and beyond.
As you’ve been hearing me say with the astrology of 2026, we are in a new era. Pluto, Neptune, Saturn are all in new signs. (Later this month, on April 26, Uranus will enter Gemini.) These are a cohort of planets that often take years to leave one sign for another, and in the last couple of years they changed signs one after another — a rare feat. Hence, it’s a new era.
Compared to the long arcs of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, Saturn’s movements seem more prosaic, taking 2-3 years to cross one sign. And on February 13, Saturn arrived in Aries, where it will remain until April 2028. (Read Saturn in Aries: Self Reliance.)
Saturn is our priorities. Every few years our priorities shift when Saturn points to a new sign. Wherever Aries is in our astrology — it could be our career, relationship, or health sign, for example — will now need our full attention, especially in the days around the Aries New Moon on April 17. If Saturn’s influence is more tangible, then Neptune is less so. Mars will give power to both Saturn and Neptune in Aries, especially the February 20 Saturn-Neptune conjunction. Neptune dissolves, distorts, and sensitizes what it touches. Whatever new stories are coming into our lives this month with Mars in Aries will need grounding and compassion. That said, Mars will play a critical role in the coming weeks, meeting up with Neptune on April 13 and Saturn on April 19, bookending the aforementioned Aries New Moon on April 17. The time around these aspects may be demanded, rushed, and intense. Take note.
