Mercury is now direct in Aries, a push on the gas after a month of reevaluation. But it’s not quite full steam ahead. Mars is still pulling us back to the past and back to Pisces, a sign that wants us to consult our heart and intuition before moving forward.
Before Mars leaves Pisces, which it will next week, on April 30, it first has to get past Neptune, a watery, hazy, dream-like influence on a planet known for its decisive action. While Mars has been in Pisces since March 22, Neptune has been in Pisces since February 3, 2012 — yes, for the last 12 years.
Neptune spends, in total, 14 years in a zodiac sign, a stretch that often gets lost in the day to day. Often playing in the background, we wouldn’t be remiss in forgetting that Neptune has been there all long, a vibe or a low hum of music.
What’s curious about 2024 and 2025 is that a parade of planets will start to leave their long-standing domains. First, Pluto in Aquarius after 16 years in Capricorn. Then, Neptune in Aries in March 2025 followed by Uranus in Gemini in July 2025. Saturn will even make a visit to Aries from May to September 2025.
The cosmic clock is going to start to shift.
In the meantime, Neptune isn’t quite done with Pisces and the Mars-Neptune conjunction on April 29 initiates us into a process of wrapping up, packing up, and reflecting on a quiet and subtle story that has been with us the last 12 years.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for April 27-29, 2024.
