We start the week off with a Scorpio Moon, one that’s picking up on some of the deeper themes we’re working on this week — intimacy, power, vulnerability. Scorpio gives us the bravery to dig into what’s uncomfortable so we can grow.
This past Saturday’s Libra New Moon ushered in a new lunar month focused on relationship. Now that word means different things to different people. Some of us are in partnership, some of us are not. Some of us have been scarred by the actions of others. Some of us seek more connection.
Nevertheless, Libra is a sign of socialization and we need people this lunar month, whether it’s the simple act of opening up to another person or getting out of the house more. If relationship is an area that needs work, then the coming week will push us to take action, especially after Mars arrives in Libra on October 4.
In the meantime, Venus squares Pluto into tomorrow, a combination of planets that can be both sexually magnetic and obsessive about love. While Venus square Pluto can talk about a powerful connection, it’s important to also look at how unhelpful or even abusive power dynamics creep into our relationships. Pluto’s role as a planet is to help us transform by showing us something that has previously been hidden. (Read more about Pluto in On Pluto.)
This week there’s a lot going on — Pluto changes direction on October 3, the same day as Mercury enters Scorpio. And, as previously mentioned, Mars enters Libra on October 4.
