Mars in Aquarius makes the last of its restless, jarring squares to Uranus. Since the first one, way back in May, something has shifted, awakened. Mars may be courage and bravery, but it hasn’t been totally easy to open up to Uranus’s push to live a new life?

As a planet, Uranus is the great awakener. It liberates us from old ideas, outdated beliefs, and the prison of restriction. It’s a light in the dark that can sometimes come with a jolt of awareness. We live in a Saturnian world, however, which is to say that we live in a world of matter, rules, responsibilities. Although we need Saturn to build our lives, we can sometimes get bogged down by the weight of living as well as the weight of tradition. Uranus shows us a way out. Mars gives us the bravery to strike out on our own.

We have our feet on the ground today while the Moon is in Capricorn. Maybe that will keep us from getting carried away. Tomorrow, however, when the Moon moves into Aquarius, we may get a better idea of what Mars and Uranus are trying to show us.
