While Pluto is still putting the squeeze on Mercury — see yesterday’s update for more information — we can’t forget about a couple of other major alignments and switcheroos in the horizon.
Tomorrow the Sun will arrive in Scorpio. In astrology we call this an “ingress,” meaning a planet has left one sign and entered another. Some ingresses are big deals, such as Saturn’s arrival in Sagittarius last month, because the planet doesn’t trade signs very often. Other ingresses are more mundane and reflect a natural progression of the astrological calendar. Tomorrow we flip the page to a new month.
When a planet arrives in a new sign, it’s good to take a look at what the other planets were doing at that moment of time. It provides energetic insight into the coming journey. The Sun’s arrival in Scorpio tomorrow at 1:47 pm EDT will coincide with Mars in Virgo making an opposition to Chiron. This simply tells us that the next 30 days shine the light on Scorpio themes of decay and transformation through the lens of Mars in Virgo (action, service, commitment, personal excellence) coming up against Chiron in Pisces (surrender, Source, universality, compassion, knots, sensitivity).
There will be a poignancy to our Scorpio journey, but this strong Virgo line up of planets will also say that we have a lot of cosmic support to get our work done and heal. The Moon will also be in Pisces, too. Our Scorpio journey will also focus on the psychedelic, astral, psychic ability, feeling, music, and art.
