We’re coming off an intense Aries Full Moon, one that may have been inspirational and motivational or even confrontational. As a result, we’re taking action as we go into the weekend, moving forward with anything the full moon demanded that we tend to.
One of the reasons the Aries Full Moon was a bit intense is because it made a series of heavy aspects to Saturn and Chiron, two planets that, respectively, set hard boundaries and pressed on deep emotional material not unlike scar tissue. (Read Aries Full Moon: Scar Tissue.) The other reason is because Pluto in Capricorn is about to turn direct after a five month retrograde.
When any planet appears to come to a halt in the sky, it symbolically infuses our collective experience with its energy. We all know what happens when Mercury stations either retrograde or direct — communication gets a little screwy and what seemed like a good decision one day doesn’t seem so the next.
A Pluto station is one of those moments when our shadow material is a little more visible, accessible. And what is the shadow? The part of ourselves that’s actively working against us. Yes, it’s our self sabotage, our shame, our fears, our blocks. It may mean that we’re coming up against ourselves this weekend. Or, using the power of the Aries Full Moon to bravely face and transform ourselves.
Venus also arrives in Virgo today, making for a shift in our Libra Season. Venus trades playful, social, creative Leo for a sign that turns our attention to ritual, practice, and craft. Virgo is the sign of health and wellness among other things. And since Virgo is the 12th House of Libra, we’re going inward and tending to our spiritual health and wellness. Perfect for letting go of the past as well as old attachments and addictions. Perfect for reconnecting to with our souls.
