The Aries Moon doesn’t quite have it’s usual kick as we slide into the dark of the moon. Plus, Mars is still squaring off with Neptune. We’re feeling introspective instead. Perhaps a little moody, too. Tie up loose ends today and get ready for the May 4 new moon.
Mercury, also in Aries, makes a square to Pluto today, too. It’s a day for deep conversations, ones that reveal and transform. There’s no artifice with Mercury and Pluto. It investigates and sees through everything. It’s also a day for us to be more aware of the choices we make and the words we use.
As I’ve mentioned in previous updates this week, Saturn is still strong in the sky after it’s retrograde turn on April 29. This is a great time to check in with Saturn, your personal life coach. (Which version of Saturn do you want? The cop? The parent? Or the life coach? I like the life coach, personally. Read more about the positive influences of Saturn in In Defense of Saturn.)
If this week has been one to check in with your life coach, what are the goals that you and Saturn are planning for May as well as this year? Even though it’s the dark of the moon, we can still use this energy to vision and plan. Use the new moon on May 4 to plant seeds and take action.
Don’t forget, I’ll be talking about Saturn as well as all the planets in my Astrology for Beginners webinar on Saturday, May 4 (May 5 for those in Australia). My 90-minute webinar will go over the basics so you can create the beginnings of a solid foundation of understanding what signs and planets are and how they work together. Details and registration here. Cost is $20 USD.
