The Moon’s in Virgo today and it’s all about the practical details of life — staying organized, taking care of our responsibilities … even the responsibilities to our health. With Mercury in Pisces, make sure you’re tending to emotional health as well as physical.
Yes, Mercury is still in Pisces, a sign its been in since February 10. (Mercury usually only spends about two or three weeks in a sign.) During this long period, which doesn’t end until Mercury arrives in Aries on April 17, we’ve had to take a second look at the emotions and unconsciousness behind our thoughts and ideas. It’s also because of Mercury Retrograde that we’ve needed to be more aware of our voices and how we communicate. It can’t just come from instinct.
Mercury in Pisces is also very poetic and intuitive. So while our thoughts haven’t exactly been the sharpest while Mercury is in Pisces, a sign driven more by feeling than analysis, it’s been a good time to reflect, meditate, and to let go of old thinking.
That said, we’re not only coming to the last day of Pisces Season and the cusp of a brand new astrological year courtesy of tomorrow’s arrival of the Sun in Aries, but we’re a day away from a Libra Full Moon. As you may know, full moons put things into the light. They mark decisions, turning points, and events. And with a full moon on the first day of spring (autumn), there is a charge to this full moon. For some of us, it’s a powerful new season and new beginning.
Note that the full moon will touch on Chiron’s recent arrival in Aries. We have to have the courage to move forward, to take action. And yet the full moon may be hitting on a deep emotional point around taking action and having courage. If you’re feeling more emotional than usual with this full moon, know that it’s lining up with Chiron and putting our emotional, psychic, and spiritual scar tissue into full light.
