Emotions run high as we prepare for tomorrow’s lunar eclipse Sagittarius Full Moon. Between Mars and Neptune in Pisces and Mercury’s square to Chiron, what we’re feeling is deeper than this moment in time. It is coming up so it can be healed.
As I’ve said before, eclipse season means that we’re not in ordinary times. The wheel of life turns. Events feel fated. They register with a force or a magnitude, whether it’s on a personal or collective. Sometimes our personal eclipse stories don’t make sense until we look back, which is why I prompt you to look back to certain dates and moments in time to follow the thread.
But tomorrow’s eclipse means that we’re at the start of a story. It’s the first in a series of eclipses that will weave back and forth between Gemini and Sagittarius into the end of 2021. In astrology, Gemini and Sagittarius are the signs that teach us — teach us how to think and communicate, to experience and explore, to search and find meaning to our lives, to cultivate knowledge and wisdom. It’s about ideas and information, but also the capacity and the conviction to broadcast these ideas and information.
If tomorrow’s Neptune square means anything it’s that our words and ideas have a power to spread across the world. But it also means that we need to be more conscious and aware of that power. On the other side of Neptune is a great capacity to heal and transmute. Sit with what you are feeling right now. It has to come up. Neptune and it’s conjunction to Mars means that it cannot be held back any longer.
Also note that Mercury makes a square to Chiron today, an aspect that threads its way through the June 5 and June 21 eclipses. Chiron speaks to the past as well as our emotional, spiritual, and psychic scar tissue. We may be feeling something very deep around this full moon, a persistent ache. Follow its roots into the threads of memory. Release whatever binds you. (Learn more about Chiron in a video clip from my Chiron Healing the Soul webinar.
