And just like that we conclude eclipse season, a season that has a tendency to turbulently and swiftly move us into a new time, one that will unfold over the next six months. Although the July 5 eclipse was the last in the series, we will feel its effects all month long.
Yes, the dust is still settling after the Capricorn Full Moon lunar eclipse, one that made a measure of how we are handling responsibility, authority, and leadership. The eclipse tested the strength of the structures we’ve been building since the start of 2018. Are they solid? Or do they still need more work. (You can read my Capricorn Full Moon report here.)
For some of us, Saturn feels that we have the capacity to take on more responsibility and we may have seen a new opportunity come up with this full moon, a new opportunity to lead, organize, and command. Saturn is ultimately the planet of mastery and it wants us to master a particular lesson or skill based on where Saturn was when we were born. For me? I was born with Saturn in Virgo, so I will be also pushed to master teaching, service, health, and wellness, for example.
For others, if something is fundamentally out of balance, Saturn is showing us where something needs to be out back into order. And this eclipse may have been a reality check.
We’ll feel the energy of the eclipse over the next few days. And it’s not uncommon, as the Moon or another planet reaches key points, that we revisit this eclipse as well as the others of this season at different moments over the coming months.
