The celestial gears are shifting this week. First Venus arrived in Gemini and soon Mercury will trade Cancer for Leo. We’re also in the gate for a powerful Capricorn Full Moon on July 9. With Pluto playing a starring role, something will be irrevocably changed.
That’s the thing about Pluto. Like the line between life and death, this world and the next, there are certain things that can’t be undone. All of the outer planets — Uranus, Neptune, Pluto — initiate a “state change.” We transition into something new when we encounter these planetary energies.
When we face Pluto we face ourselves. It’s something we will have to do at various times in the year and for more protracted periods at various times in our life. If you are an Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn, you know Pluto all too well. Life seems very different than it was in 2008 when Pluto arrived in Capricorn.
In the meantime, Mercury is on the edge of Cancer. Whenever a planet reaches the last degree of a sign, its energies are magnified. Mercury has been moody and emotional in Cancer, needing to talk or write out its feelings. Communication may be a little charged today.
PS — I’m teaching an intimate, evening workshop here in New York on July 25 called The Gateway: Eclipses and the Astrology of Transformation. It doesn’t matter how much astrology you know. I’ll be teaching you about August’s eclipses and what they mean for your sun sign in this hands on workshop. You’ll learn how to work with the eclipse’s energy of creation and transformation. Early registration is $50. For more details and to register, click here.
