The Moon rounds out its time in Leo and we’re still feeling the effects of yesterday’s lunar eclipse. Don’t be surprised if there’s a shakeup or something unexpected. The lunar eclipse made a square to Uranus, a planet that wants to upend the status quo.

With that in mind, know that this week as well as the coming weeks — eclipse energy opens up a six month chapter that focuses us on a certain area of life — may upend the status quo in some way. The solar eclipse on January 5 was about the structures of our lives — our commitments, responsibilities, job, career, the very earth beneath our feet. The lunar eclipse on January 21 was about how we live our lives and how we express who we are. Responsibility and commitment mean nothing if there’s no spark, no passion. Our lives feel empty if there’s nothing giving us joy. We have to find the balance.

In other news, Venus joins up with Jupiter, an aspect that has a reputation for abundance and good fortune. Although yesterday’s lunar eclipse had some difficult energy in it — Mars was square Saturn, traditionally not a nice aspect — it’s possible that there’s a hidden opportunity in everything that’s going on with this eclipse. Embrace what’s opening up even as some things may be leaving your life.

I’ll be talking about this years eclipses and more in my 90-minute webinar on Saturday, January 26 at 4:30 pm EST. (That’s 1:30 pm Los Angeles, 9:30 pm London, 8:30 am Sydney on 1/27.) Even if you can’t make it live, you’ll still get the recording. I’ll be giving an overview of the year and how it’s part of a bigger story as well as going through sign by sign what the astrology will mean for you. Cost is $20 USD. Click here to register and learn more.
