Another Taurus Moon day, one that gets us back to basics. Do we have what we need? Money in the bank? Food in the kitchen? Taurus is a sign that teaches us about creating a stable foundation for ourselves. It’s a day to root and spend time at home, too.
Astrology is about understanding time and the different chapters and stories that the planets weave in our lives. Some of these stories are short, immediate, and ephemeral while others connect us to a larger story that threads its way over years and even decades.
Although today’s Taurus Moon brings us to the immediacy of our material needs and, as a result, we may be tending to our bank accounts as well as our shopping lists, this connects us to a bigger story about what we need to feel safe and secure and grounded. For some of us, all we’ve known is safety. While others have had to deal with the ups and downs of living.
Come March 6, Uranus, the planet of ups and downs and awakenings, will arrive back in Taurus for a seven year stay. I mention this because I want you all to be aware of this upcoming shift and what it will require of us in order to grow and evolve. Taurus is the earth beneath our feet. It’s our connection to our bodies and physical living. It’s food and taste, money and value.
Over the coming years we’ll need to reinvent our relationship with the sign of Taurus. If we’ve been disconnected from our bodies, how do we come back in? How do we have a new relationship with touch, sense, and even pleasure? If we’re holding onto something for the wrong reasons, how do we let go? How do we eat differently? Taste differently?
In the meantime, Uranus is at the final degree of Aries, helping us to wrap up a story that began in 2010-2011. As we do so, Mars meets up with Uranus, too. This is a provocative combination of planets, planets meant to act as a catalyst or to jolt us awake. Uranus in Aries has been a radical reinvention of ourselves as individuals.
