Mars wraps up its stay in Aries this week, a sign that’s been a provocative, energetic, and motivational place for Mars. As it does so, it meets up with Uranus on February 13. We’re on the cusp of a new beginning. Uranus wants liberation, freedom, revolution.

Admittedly, Mars and Uranus together can make for volatile, unpredictable energy. Mars is action and Uranus is awakenings and breakthroughs. It can also be chaotic and accident prone. Don’t rush this week and it helps that the Moon’s in slow and steady Taurus the next couple of days.

At the core of Mars and Uranus is a need to break out of anything that is holding us back. It shakes up the status quo. It launches us into new ventures that are radically different than previous ones. Think back to April 2011. That was the first time the Mars joined Uranus in Aries, kicking off a story that has played out in various ways over the last seven, nearly eight years. As Mars reaches Uranus for one last time, on the very edge of Aries, this week is a good bye, a tying up of loose ends. It’s important for us to be conscious of the people we were way back in 2011 versus who we have evolved into. After all, Uranus is a force of evolution. And in Aries, Uranus has demanded that we individuate and be ourselves.

As I mentioned, the Moon is in Taurus today, a sign that Uranus will arrive in on March 6. In the meantime, it’s a good day to slow down and focus on what we need to feel financially safe and secure. Venus, the ruling planet of the Taurus, is in Capricorn right now, which means that we have to be responsible with our money and finances and build for the future.
