Mercury’s now in Leo. For the next two weeks our conversations are expressive, our words are creative. It’s more about having an individual point of view than it is about the empathy and emotion of Mercury’s time in Cancer. Find passion in what you have to say.
There’s some big movements starting to form in the sky. If you recall, Mars has been in Aries since late June, a sign that it’s fiery, motivated, and courageous in, but also hot tempered and impatient. Now that Mars is farther along in Aries, it’s starting to meet up with a trio of planets in Capricorn — Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn.
These three planets are some of the giants in astrology. They speak of cause and effect, of karma, of the importance of the decisions and actions we’re making right now. They speak of the world.
Mars will spend a grand total of six months in Aries versus the usual six weeks while Mars goes forward and backwards and forwards in the sign until January 6, 2020. As it does so, it will make what are called squares to these Capricorn planets, potentially pushing at the world, the metaphoric tectonic plates, and the things we’re taking action on.
The first in this series of aspects is Mars square Jupiter. Sometimes this manifests as overdoing it or having a lot of enthusiasm that, in turn, needs a proper amount of action to make happen. This aspect also speaks to need a lot of courage and bravery right now to surmount something. Perhaps we’re looking up the hill of our lives, trying to figure out how we’re going to make something happen. Well, we first need the courage to take action.
Next week Mars will square Pluto, a combination that can feel like a force of nature. It’s intense, like the pressure needed to create a diamond. We need to make sure we have a positive outlet for this energy by channeling it into movement, physical exercise, healthy competition and drive.
Do keep in mind that Mars will turn retrograde on September 9, only a month from now. Whatever we’re taking action on or however we’re using the power of Mars, whether positively or not, we’ll be revisiting these actions come September through November during the retrograde.
In the meantime, the Moon’s in Pisces and we’re floating through the deepest parts of the psyche. It’s about feelings and sensitivities, intuition and mediumship. Our emotions are powerful.
