A Libra Moon takes us into the weekend, a moon that wants to connect, socialize, and create beauty. It’s a busy day, one that may be marked by lots of conversation or even a few trips here and there. We’re feeling sensitive, too, with Venus in Cancer.
Today we’re also saying goodbye to Leo Season, although the recent Leo New Moon means that we’re making creativity, passion, and self expression a priority into September. Come tomorrow, August 22, the Sun arrives in Virgo and we kick off a new season, one dedicated towards focusing on the practical details of life — maintaining our health, getting organized, and doing our work.
By Sunday, the Moon arrives in Scorpio, a shift in tone after the breezy comfort of the Libra Moon. While Scorpio is usually an emotionally intense placement for the Moon, we may be feeling these intensities more strongly. After all, Mars is coming up to a square to Saturn.
Once again Mars, the planet of action and initiative, readies for another aspect to a trio of planets huddling closely together in Capricorn. We’ve already experienced Mars square Jupiter on August 4 followed by Mars square Pluto on August 13, titanic energies that felt like a forge of transformation. Now we ready for our rendezvous with Saturn.
We may feel this like a check in with reality. Saturn in Capricorn demands structure, commitment, and accountability. Is something out of alignment? Are we not following through with our commitments? Use the weekend to get back on track.
