Last day of Mercury in Pisces, a sign that it’s spent the last nine weeks in, which means that we’re wrapping up our Mercury Retrograde story. It’s a day to tie up loose ends and complete something that began on February 10.
Astrology is about time and the stories that interweave within these times. Mercury is the planet of choice as well as the planet that shows us our options, helps us to communicate, learn, express, and discern. When it’s retrograde it’s a time to take awareness of how we’ve been doing things and break out of autopilot mode.
Although Mercury hasn’t been retrograde since March 28, we’ve been in what’s called the shadow, which is to say that Mercury is still retracing its steps. There is still something unfinished. It’s still a time for us to redo as well as choose something differently.
Today the Moon is in Virgo, which is a sign that Mercury rules. While a Virgo Moon wants us to get things done, tend to projects, and pay attention to our health, Mercury’s last hours in Pisces means that we’re coming to the end of something. What have you learned about yourself since February? Where have you learned to let go? What have you chosen to do differently?
As much as it’s a day for compassion, understanding, and even forgiveness, make sure you’re tending to projects, cleaning up, organizing, and preparing. Tomorrow Mercury arrives in Aries and it cranks up the last few days of Aries Season, giving fire as well as life to Mars’s transit of Gemini.
In short, things are about speed up, take off, and start over.
I discuss this more in depth in this week’s newsletter as well as in my April horoscopes.

Hi Katie from Down Under! We are always ahead of the Northern Hemisphere it seems- and yes we are into Autumn! Could you post “Tomorrow’s Chart” a day earlier so we can know what to expect??? Checking yesterday’s is helpful- but yesterday has gone….cheers Dinah
Hello!! Just want to clear up any confusion. Although I’m writing this for my today, it’s for your today. Which is to say that anyone in AUS/NZ just needs to read this for the following day. So while it may be relevant for me on April 16, it’s relevant for your April 17. Make sense? So you haven’t missed out. Flip the date forward 🙂
