The Moon crosses into Aries and we begin our descent into the dark of the moon, the last days before the New Moon. In spite of the intensity of Aries, a fire sign, it is time to go within, to reflect on the new beginnings on the horizon. The Sun and Chiron also align.
Chiron is a newer addition to astrology. Discovered nearly 50 years ago, Chiron has come to represent a pain point, something that strikes a nerve and requires us to work to heal it. Unlike traditional planets, Chiron works on a deeper emotional and psychic level. We feel Chiron, but we are not always consciously aware of it.
Take note of what is coming up today as well as in the days around the Aries New Moon on April 17. It may reveal an old pain point that now needs action to heal, not unlike undoing a knot. Sometimes Chiron is referred to as a wound, but we have to be careful not to create a consciousness around our pain as if it is something that will never heal. (In a channeled message about Chiron that I received 10 years ago, I was told to not add pain “to create letters that [I] add to [my] name like a title or degree….”)
If our lives are part of the great tapestry of creation, Chiron represents a rip or a knot that we are working to repair, not just for ourselves but for others. In astrology, Chiron’s symbol is a key. It says that when we take the things that have made us suffer the most and use it like medicine to help and inspire others, then we can use Chiron as a key and open the higher potential for our lives.
With Chiron in Aries (not to mention six other planets in Aries at the moment), the pain point may be around bravery. Have the courage to stand up for yourself, to do the hard thing, to inspire others with our experiences, to be a leader when others cannot.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for April 16, 2026.
