The Astrology of April 14, 2026

After two months of going back and forth in Pisces, Mercury finally gets into Aries. If Pisces is the dream and vision, then Aries is all action. It’s time to move forward and Mercury in Aries can be full speed. But with Saturn and Neptune near, our actions need reflection.

This is quite the Aries Season and honestly like no other, what with both Saturn and Neptune in Aries. We’d probably have to go back to April 2011 to see something similar in terms of a powerful activation of outer planets. Then, we had Uranus newly in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn. Mars was also in Aries as well as Saturn in Libra, marking an intense configuration for the time.

But even now it’s different and it seems as though nearly every planet is in Aries — Sun, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron. Come Friday, on April 17, an Aries New Moon will bring the grand total to seven planets in Aries.

What is Aries?

It’s the first sign of the zodiac. It speaks to the spark as well as the renewal of life. The zodiac is a circle, a wheel that takes us from beginnings to endings and back again. When a planet passes into Aries, it takes on the qualities of the sign — not just the new beginnings of the season, but a raw force that invokes movement.

When the Sun is in Aries, since the Sun is a reflection of life as well as the self, we can see the personality of Aries, a sign that can be bold, rash, courageous, and self-reliant.

Mercury? Our thoughts and movements are quick and instinctive. We choose impulsively.

Saturn, on the other hand, can slow things down, create roadblocks or tempering some of Aries’s natural speed. Saturn can also demand that we carefully consider our actions and choices with greater maturity, that we better plan for the future, that sometimes life brings the sobering reality that no one else is going to do it except for us. And Neptune? Whatever we are doing, whatever we are choosing, or even creating, has to connect to a higher level of ourselves. We must have compassion or risk sinking into our illusions. (Read Neptune in Aries: Sign by Sign)

Chiron in Aries can touch on an pain point, something personal as well as collective that we need to heal. (Read Chiron in Aries: The Wounds of War)

Mars, in its ruling sign, gives a charge to all this energy, acting like a catalyst or an accelerant. (Read Mars in Aries: Sign by Sign)

So, we have a lot of things happening over the coming days that the Aries New Moon may set in motion. April is an inflection point. A Mars-Saturn conjunction on April 19 may bring personal milestones in the days surrounding.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for April 15, 2026.
