Venus comes to the end of Leo, a sign it’s spent the last four months in. Although a longer time than usual due to a retrograde, Venus taught us about the value of being ourselves and investing in the things that light us up and give us life.
Venus is the star of both of the upcoming eclipses in Libra and Taurus, the signs that it governs, something that I mentioned in my webinar last night on the eclipses. (You can still get the two-hour video replay.) It’s a planet that shows us the importance of relationship and connection. After all, human beings need each other to survive. Venus is also the planet that helps us to build our material lives and create stability.
On Sunday, October 8, Venus arrives in Virgo, where it will remain until November 8. Virgo will be an interesting place for Venus to reside because it’s not Venus’s natural home. If Venus in Leo was all about the self, then in Virgo Venus has to cultivate service to others. But it shows us the love of craft, attention to detail, rituals, and practice. It’s the beauty of organization.
As I have been mentioning, we’re on the verge of a solar eclipse next week in Libra on October 14. Life is getting ready to rearrange. People are waiting in the wings to reenter our lives or arrive for the first time. People are also readying to leave the stage. There is a sense of anticipation or even a buzz of energy.
Perhaps we can also look to Mars in Libra and its square to Pluto in Capricorn this weekend. We’re feeling a push or a drive to make a change and even to move mountains, so to speak.
In the meantime, you can watch the replay of The Eclipses of October 2023, a two hour look at what eclipses are and why they are such a powerful force in our lives and what it means for your sign. Details and registration here.
