We’re in the dark of the moon as we start the week, the time just before the new moon when the lunar light is faint. It’s a day to close out old chapters, to rest and prepare, to listen to our intuition. Tomorrow’s Libra New Moon will be a reset for relationships.
New moons open four week chapters, one lived through the lens of the sign. So, with a new moon in Libra, the next four weeks turns our focus to how we connect and relate to others, how we negotiate and compromise. And since this Libra lunar month will overlap with Scorpio Season, it’s relationships with an emphasis on intimacy, trust, and vulnerability.
The new moon also means that we are closing out a lunar month that began with a solar eclipse on September 21. It’s not just a Libra New Moon, it’s a new moon that builds upon the new beginnings seeded with the solar eclipse a month before.
The new moon isn’t the only notable event this week. Neptune returns to Pisces after a five month preview of Aries. For most of us, Neptune’s return to Pisces will pass unnoticed. That’s because Neptune works in the intermediary, in the emotional and spiritual. Whatever returns to us is part or a larger emotional and spiritual work we’ve been doing since 2011-2012. The next three months will bring this work to a conclusion. Neptune will never return to Pisces in our lifetime. (Read Neptune in Pisces: Sign by Sign)
