Jupiter joins Pluto in Capricorn, a planet that has demanded a profound level of transformation this year, for its final match-up. Alongside Saturn, these three planets have reshaped our world, our faith, our sense of order. We must transform yet again.
When I think of “2020 energy” and it’s reflected in the astrology I think of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn, a lineup that you have to go back pretty far in history to find all three in the same sign — 1284 to be exact.
Capricorn is the sign of structure, authority, and our manifested world. Normally Saturn in Capricorn means that we’re working to build new structures. But with Pluto and Jupiter in the mix, it’s felt like we’re trying to build and destroy at the same time. Jupiter has a reputation in astrology for being Santa Claus, bringer of good fortune and luck. But it’s a lot more complicated than that. And we can’t forget that Jupiter can make things bigger. It’s expanded the power of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn this year. That said, I think there has been some silver linings in all this and perhaps you’ve made powerful personal transformations that you otherwise wouldn’t have.
So today Jupiter makes its final conjunction to Pluto in Capricorn after a meetup on April 4 and June 30. This is one of the final gasps of this 2020 energy. (Jupiter moves to Aquarius on December 19 right after Saturn also arrives in Aquarius on December 17.) Use this energy to push through old blocks, transmute denser energies, to reshape or rebuild our faith, or tap into a deep well of wisdom.
Don’t forget, Mars turns direct tomorrow, November 13, at 15 Aries. We’re also feeling restless and on edge. Give this energy a positive outlet.
