Venus, the planet of money and worth, partnership and connection, arrives in Aries. Over the next few weeks, we’re seeing new beginnings in relationship as well as a shift in what we value.
The real story behind Venus’s switch into Aries is its connection to the eclipses. If you recall, we had a solar eclipse in Taurus just a couple of days ago, on April 30. As the ruler of that eclipse as well as the Taurus North Node, Venus holds a lot of power. (Missed my Taurus New Moon eclipse report, you can read it here.)
Previously, Venus was in the sign of Pisces where it had even more power, classically speaking. (On a technical point, Venus is considered exalted in Pisces, which is to say that it’s a sign that it does its best work.) And Venus was alongside Jupiter in Pisces, hinting that behind some of the sudden shifts and moves with the eclipse was the potential for a silver lining.
That said, something about the eclipse energy shifts. Whereas in Pisces we were in the dream or romance of things, in Aries it’s a push or even a jolt forward. Life may start to move fast this week. Eclipses don’t always reveal themselves right away. Pay attention to the deeper stories and subtext as well as the obvious stories.
This eclipse touches on a larger shift that’s been unfolding since 2018, 2019 when Uranus entered Taurus, so no surprises when you go back and think about it. (If you missed my 2-hour webinar on this latest eclipse season and their connection to 2018, 2019, you can get the replay here.)
We’re two weeks away from a lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 16, which means that we’re in that slightly strange portal of time between the eclipses. Time bends and shifts. People prepare to exit and enter our lives. The next act gets ready to begin.
