The Sun and Saturn align today in Aries, a conjunction that activates a larger story that will be with us into 2028. If Saturn is our priorities and responsibilities, then it is a day for us to step up, to put things in order, to take our duties seriously.
On February 13, Saturn arrived in Aries. Saturn is one of the most important planets to watch in astrology because it always shows what area of our lives will take precedence. Saturn moving from one sign to another — in this case, from Pisces to Aries — meant that February 2026 marked a shift of priorities as well as the start of a new cycle. (Aries is the first sign of the zodiac; it initiates new beginnings.)
It’s not always so clear what this new chapter of our lives will mean. Intellectually, we can take note of what part of our astrology Aries governs. It could be our sign of home and family, or our career sign, for example. (Read Saturn in Aries: Sign by Sign.) It’s another to be able to see how our lives are building along Saturn’s movements. Perhaps we can look back on Saturn’s preview of Aries, from May 24 to September 1, 2025, for clues.
Today’s Sun-Saturn conjunction is another clue. There is a sobering quality to Saturn. It puts things into reality, something I like to call “Capital L Life“. And Saturn in Aries, for some, is the reality of having to be more self reliant … or a warning of what happens when we are overly self reliant.
We are in the early stages of a story. The groundwork is being laid with Saturn in Aries. Personal events in our lives will build around key points, such as today’s Sun-Saturn conjunction. Nevertheless, it is a day if not a week to be on good terms with Saturn, which is to say, to take our responsibilities and our commitments seriously, to show up on time, to put things in order, to push ourselves to be a better version of ourselves.
