Welcome to Aries Season! The Sun is now in the first sign of the zodiac and we spring into a new astrological year. Ruled by Mars, Aries teaches us about power and drive, action and competition. It’s also leadership and courage, too.
Since Mars is the planet that “governs” or “rules” Aries Season, which is to say the planet that receives its energies, it’s worth noting that Mars is in Aquarius. At least for the time being.
This means that Aquarius is a lens for Aries’s energies of renewal and forward movement. If Aries is the “I”, the self, and singularity, it’s a season where we need to consider the whole. Aquarius is our friends and community, the causes and issues that we put our energy into, the larger frame that threads us all together.
Aquarius is also the future, which means that we bring this energy of Aries towards our goals for the future. We use it to reinvigorate our hopes and dreams for something better.
With Aries Season lining up with two eclipses, namely an Aries New Moon solar eclipse on April 8, this is a potent time for new beginnings for everyone.
