We’ve reached the dark of the moon, the time just before the new moon. It’s a day to go within, reflect, and listen to our intuition. With the Moon in Pisces, we may be feeling more sensitive than usual. We’re also in the last few days of the astrological year.
Astrology measures a year not with the start of the calendar year on January 1, but with the Sun’s arrival in Aries, the spring equinox here in the northern hemisphere. This is reflected in the fire of Aries and its symbolism of renewal and new beginnings. (The Persians have been celebrating the new year with the spring equinox for the last 3,000 years. For Christians, Easter and the resurrection of Christ is always marked the first Sunday after the full moon after the spring equinox.).
While new beginnings are on the horizon, we’re still in that liminal space between one cycle and another. Tomorrow’s Pisces New Moon is the last new moon of the astrological year. And yet the Sun’s arrival in Aries will overlap with a Pisces lunar month — endings and new beginnings woven together.
That said, Mercury and the Pisces North Node meet up, activating a ripple of eclipse energy. Conversations may be pivotal. Choices may have far reaching influence. Then again, we are only a few days from Mercury turning direct on March 20. Information is still coming to light.
