We start the week with a Moon in Aquarius, one that brings us full circle from the February 17 solar eclipse at 28 Aquarius. The eclipse created a focal point, one that highlights friends and community, society and the collective for the next five months.
When a planet activates an eclipse degree, a story often comes into focus. In the case of an Aquarius solar eclipse, it may be a story around a friendship or a group affiliation, for example. Or, something may be unfolding within our community. Or, we feel compelled to turn our attention to a social issue and cause. (Read Aquarius New Moon: The Collective.)
Aquarius is the 11th sign of the zodiac. The second-to-last sign before Pisces, the 12th sign. When we reach this part of the zodiac, it’s not about the personal. It’s about the experiences of life that unite us (or divide us) as human beings. Aquarius is society and humanity, the systems that run our lives, the ideology that shapes our world. This will be our focus until the next eclipse in August 2026.
When the Moon changes signs later today, arriving in Pisces, we will be stepping into the dark of the moon, the time just before the new moon, namely the Pisces New Moon of March 18. Time to reflect, go within, and rest. A new lunar month is on the horizon.
