After a four-month retrograde that marked a period of contemplation and reflection, Jupiter turns direct at 15 Cancer. It’s a reminder that Jupiter does its best work in Cancer and, as a result, this week will give us an opportunity to seek the care and comfort of loved ones.
Just because Jupiter is in Cancer, the sign of its exaltation, it doesn’t mean that we automatically receive its grace. But the opportunity is there for us. (Read Jupiter in Cancer: Sign by Sign.)
Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac. It symbolically represents the base and foundation of the zodiac and, as a result, the base and foundation of our lives. Cancer is home and family, roots and foundations, the care and support we need in order to feel secure in our lives.
Jupiter, which only visits Cancer once every 12 years, gives us an opportunity to grow our base, to nourish our roots, to renew our connection to family or those who are like family. In uncertain times, for example, we need the support of loved ones more than ever. This isn’t a panacea, but if anything Jupiter in Cancer is a reminder of what is really important.
Now that Jupiter is direct, we are in an active phase with the energies of Pisces Season … as well as Mercury, Mars, and the North Node in Pisces. Communication will be key over the coming days, especially communication based on empathy and understanding of others.
